Intuitive eating has hit the scene. A lot of people are trying to figure out the best way to eat intuitively while also maintaining weight, cutting, or bulking. While I don't think this is the most effective path, with the right tools I feel like it can be done. Here are my tips to intuitive eating.

1.) Eat the same amount of meals and/or snacks everyday. This approach I feel is most important as many intuitive eaters go way out of the normal when planning their day of eating. They tend to slip in extra meals not on purpose, but just by what they think is right in the moment. Maintaining meals ensures there isnt any deviation from a normal plan.

2.) Use your palm as a measuring tool. I like this one when measuring out your protein or carb sizes. Everyones hand size varies but doing this will ensure continuity. A good starting point for males is 2 palm sizes of protein, 2 palm handfuls for carbs, and 2 palm handfuls for veggies. Healthy fats measure with your thumbs. 2 thumb sizes. For females, just switch to 1 of each. Vary measurements according to goals and outcomes.

3.) Respect your body's signals. If your body has had enough food, signals are sent off. Your hunger disappears, you get the feeling of satisfaction, etc. These signals are there for a reason and should be recognized. It may take practice but if you can master your skills here, it will be the most beneficicial of all the skills.

Counting macros is the most fool proof way to results, but I get that it can be difficult. If intuitive eating sounds like a good strategy for you, give it a try and do these things to help you! Message or comment for more info!
